paw patrol

“Paw Patrol” donated 6000 kg of pet food for free within a month, isn’t it breathtaking? We introduce a new social project from COLLAR Company, supported by international partners and local volunteers. Also, we will tell you who leads it and how the project started.

“Paw Patrol” is the code name of this charity project, given by one of its founders, Serhiy Shkot. Serhiy is the founder of PULLER, a fitness tool for dogs. The project is led by Varvara Petrenko, president of the international Dog Puller Federation. Varvara is the one who organizes global Dog Puller championships.

Our Company’s main office and manufacturing are located in Chernihiv, a city that has been shelled and attacked by airstrikes without a break. Bombing and shelling have caused immeasurable suffering for civilians. Critical infrastructure objects, residential areas, hospitals and schools were destroyed in the city. We didn’t have water, electricity, heating and gas supplies. Communication infrastructure, including both mobile and Internet connections, was badly affected. Grocery stores and petrol stations stopped working at all. Chernihiv was at the edge of a humanitarian disaster. This led to problems in the supply of any food, including pet food. The Company united its efforts and established a new charity project.

At the beginning of the war, our partner from Japan, Peace Winds Japan, contacted us. They offered financial support to help Chernihiv residents. COLLAR Company with volunteers carried out 4 pet food distributions. We donated food for dogs, cats, rodents, parrots, flea and worm drops.

The first three giveaways were held at the announced location. We keep Chernihiv residents informed, using both Company’s social and local media. The last giveaway was conducted in distant regions, including Bobrovitsya, Liskovitsya, Podusivka and Kyinka. As infrastructure challenges remain, their residents weren’t able to get to our location. So our team decided to deliver pet food there for wiggly tails.

Our partners from Japan and local volunteers helped us last time. Representatives of Peace Winds from Japan visited Chernihiv and our manufacturing on an official charity mission. They were shocked by the destruction seen in Chernihiv. Kensuke Onishchi led this charity visit to see the results of war crimes and intense fighting, film and introduce them to governing bodies of Japan. So they can continue their charity mission and receive further support for Ukrainians.

After we deliver pet food, we help Chernihiv residents to escape the city with their pets. Many of them couldn’t evacuate before, because they had no vehicle or took care of many abandoned and stray pets in the besieged city. Sadly, many pets became abandoned because Ukrainians were forced to flee and left pets. Our team of volunteers understands the importance of staying together with pets, and we continue COLLAR’s mission — making pets and people happy — even during wartime.

Ukrainians express their courage to love and protect their independence. In the middle of the destruction and chaos, there is the love that we feel for our pets and our families and despite all uncertainty that the future holds, war couldn’t stop the love that the people of Ukraine feel for their pets.

We thank wholeheartedly our partners from Japan, Poland, Belgium, and Germany for their support, you are amazing! We truly appreciate the efforts and commitments of volunteers helping us with the delivery and distribution of pet food.

If you want to escape Chernihiv, contact us on Company’s social media, Facebook and Instagram. If you received pet food, please share photos with #collarhelp with your pets on social media, so everyone can learn more about COLLAR’s charity project and get help. Stand with Ukraine!
